SANTA ROSA, Calif. (Aug. 13, 2015) – Unbeaten Smokey Image and Northern California Yearling Sale graduate Roaring Rule are entered in Sunday’s $50,000 Cavonnier Juvenile Stakes for 2-year-olds at Santa Rosa.
Roaring Rule is by Tribal Rule, out of the Video Ranger mare Ladylore, was bred by Richard Barton Enterprises, is owned by GCCI and is trained by Cliff DeLima. The $25,000 Northern California Yearling Sale purchase won his lone start and has earnings of $9,600.
Smokey Image is by Southern Image, out of the Free House mare Special Smoke, was bred by C-Punch Ranch, is owned by Betty and Robert Irvin and is trained by Greg James. He has won both of his starts with earnings of $60,900 and is coming off a win in the July 5 Everett Nevin Stakes.
