DEL MAR, Calif. (Aug. 6, 2017) – Take the One O One, a graduate of the Northern California Yearling Sale, won a 2-year-old maiden special weight race at Del Mar on Sunday.
Take the One O One is by Acclamation, out of the Jump Start mare North Freeway, was bred by Thomas Bachman, was consigned by Fairview and was purchased for $47,000 by Terry Knight. He is owned by jay Em Ess Stable and trained by Brian Koriner.
Take the One O One, second in his debut July 13, won his second start by 3 ¼ lengths as the 6-5 favorite in the field of eight, running the six furlongs in 1:11.65.
Take the One O One is the eighth winner from the 2016 Northern California Yearling Sale. This year’s sale will be held on Tuesday, August 15, at the Alameda County Fairgrounds, beginning at noon.
