ALBANY, Calif. (Sept. 6, 2020) — Northern California Yearling Sale graduate Camino Del Paraiso broke through for his first stakes win on Monday with a late surge to capture the $60,300 Rolling Green Stakes at Golden Gate.
Camino Del Paraiso is a 7-year-old by Suances, out of the Successful Appeal mare Loni’s Appeal, was bred by Red Baron’s Barn, is owned by Paradise Ranch Road and trained by O.J. Juaregui.
The $5,000 purchase at the Northern California Yearling Sale has six wins in 39 starts, earnings of $440,092 and in his last race clipped heels and unseated his rider in the July 26 California Dreamin’.
He ran the 1 1/16 miles on turf in 1:43.09 and won by one length at odds of 5-1 in a field of seven. He was sixth in this race two years ago and second three years ago.
