ALBANY, Calif. (Nov. 20, 2016) – Northern California Yearling Sale graduate Sweet Rafaela and fellow California-bred Isa Firecracker are entered in Thursday’s $50,000 Golden Gate Debutante Stakes for 2-year-old fillies.
Isa Firecracker is by Heatseeker, out of the Tannersmyman mare Caroline Elena, was bred by owner Myles McMahon and is trained by Jamey Thomas. She has one win in three starts, earnings of $52,880 and is coming off a third in the Nov. 4 Golden State Juvenile Fillies Stakes.
Sweet Rafaela is by Thorn Song, out of the Tale of the Cat mare Telling Stories, was bred by G.W. Thomas, is owned by G C C I and trained by Cliff De Lima. The $14,000 Northern California Yearling Sale purchase has one win in two starts, earnings of $31,500 and is coming off a third in the Oct. 29 Pike Place Dancer.
