SANTA ROSA, Calif. (Aug. 10, 2017) – Northern California Yearling Sale graduates Walk On Water and Holy Yodeler are among five California-breds coming out of the Everett Nevin Stakes for Sunday’s $50,000 Jess Jackson Juvenile Stakes for 2-year-olds at the Sonoma County Fair.
Walk On Water is by Tannersmyman, out of the Stormy Atlantic mare Smoke Over Water, was bred by Woodbridge Farm and Jim Eaton, is owned by Steven Miyadi or Ed Spaunhurst and is trained by Miyadi. The $5,500 purchase at the Northern California Yearling Sale has one win in three starts, earnings of $25,960 and is coming off a fifth in the July 8 Everett Nevin.
Irish Sky is by Sky Mesa, out of the Broken Vow mare Irish Winnie, was bred by owners Moger or Patrick Neary and is trained by Ed Moger, Jr. He has one win in two starts, earnings of $22,280 and is coming off an eighth in the July 8 Everett Nevin.
Jacks Masterpiece is by Smiling Tiger, out of the Candi’s Gold mare Marty’s Zee, was bred by Martin Bach, is owned by Bach, Gitomer or Weiner and is trained by Bill Morey. He has one win in two starts, earnings of $32,280 and is coming off a third in the July 8 Everett Nevin.
Holy Yodeler is by Swiss Yodeler, out of the Holy Bull mare Holy Script, was bred by Rozamund Barclay, is owned by Steve Moger and trained by Ed Moger, Jr. The $18,000 purchase at the Northern California Yearling Sale has one win in two starts, earnings of $20,505 and is coming off a seventh in the July 8 Everett Nevin.
Byebye Mr Swiss is by Swiss Yodeler, out of the Wild Deputy mare Cop a Smoke, was bred by Leigh Ann Howard, is owned by Glen Road Racing or Carina Jauregui and is trained by O.J. Jauregui. He has one win in three starts, earnings of $9,301 and is coming off an eighth in the July 8 Everett Nevin.
