ALBANY, Calif. (Nov. 24, 2018) – Northern California Yearling Sale graduate Touched by Autism rallied late to win Saturday’s $63,375 Oakland Stakes at Golden Gate.
Touched by Autism is by Sierra Sunset, out of the Beau Genius mare Beau’s Gem, was bred by George and Mary Clare Schmitt, is owned by Johnny Toboada and is trained by Marcia Stortz.
The $2,700 purchase at the Northern California Yearling Sale has eight wins in 28 starts, earnings of $261,815 and was coming off a a fourth in the Oct. 14 Bull Dog.
He ran the six furlongs in 1:09.16 and won by a neck at odds of 13-1 in the field of eight.
