PLEASANTON, Calif. (June 16, 2015) – The 12-day Oak Tree at Pleasanton racing meet opens Thursday at the Alameda County Fairgrounds.
Co-sponsored by the Oak Tree Racing Association, the meeting features $1.7 million in purses and runs Thursday through Sunday until June 5.
Six stakes races are planned, beginning with Saturday’s $50,000 Oak Tree Handicap and Sunday’s $50,000 Pleasanton Oaks.
On June 27 is the $100,000 Oak Tree Distaff for California-bred fillies and mares, the richest stakes race of the meeting.
Trainers making between five and nine starts will receive a $500 bonus on the last day of the meet. Trainers making 10 or more starts will receive $1,000.
