Oscar Nominated has been relocated to Terry Lovingier’s Lovacres Ranch near Warner Springs, Calif., owner Frederick Larsen announced Oct. 6. Next year will be the first full season for the versatile multiple grade 3-winning, grade 1-placed millionaire.

“I am very excited about the move to Lovacres,” stated Larsen. “BG (Thoroughbred Farm) is a great farm and has great people. It was a very hard decision, but I feel ‘Oscar’ deserves a bigger stage here in California and standing next to Stay Thirsty  , I don’t know how much bigger you can get.”

Oscar Nominated won three stakes at 3, including the Horseshoe Casino Cincinnati Spiral (G3) at Turfway Park. He was also a graded winner at 4, taking the Calumet Farm Kentucky Turf Cup (G3T) at Kentucky Downs. That season he also placed in the Woodford Reserve Turf Classic (G1T) and Pattison Canadian International (G1T). At 5 he added the W. L. McKnight Handicap (G3T) at Gulfstream Park to his win column. He had a record of 6-8-2 from 30 starts with earnings of $1,502,639.

By Kitten’s Joy and out of Devine Actress, by Theatrical (IRE), Oscar Nominated is a full brother to multiple grade 1 winner Oscar Performance  , whose top victories include the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf (G1T), and a half brother to grade 2 winner Award Winner .

Oscar Nominated will stand for a $5,000 fee in 2022.
