DEL MAR, Calif. (July 11, 2014) — Twelve additional horses have been added to The Third Annual Paddock Sale at Del Mar of Race Ready Horses, scheduled to be held on Sunday, July 20 in the Del Mar paddock approximately twenty minutes after the last race is declared official. There are now 24 horses of racing age and 15 two-year-olds in the sales catalog. Grade 1 winner & Barretts grad Jeranimo has been retired to stud and withdrawn from this sale.

Printed catalogs will be available ONLY at Del Mar beginning on Friday, July 18.

Since this is a catalog of active race horses, there are several horses scheduled to work or run in the days between now and sale day.
Horses will be available for inspection starting on July 18 during non-training hours in the barn located closest to the Del Mar paddock (Eastside of Barn Y).

Among the highlights of the horses entered to date are
- HEIR KITTY, a four-year-old filly who won the La Brea Stakes (G1) in late December last year at Santa Anita and is entered in the Great Lady M Stakes (G2) at Los Alamitos this Saturday. She is one of the leading contenders for this year’s Breeders Cup Filly and Mare Sprint.
- JERANIMO, winner of last year’s Eddie Read Stakes (G1) at Del Mar and over $1.5 million, who will sell for the account of the Estate of B.J. Wright and Robert LaPenta on the one year anniversary of that great victory.
- CIAO BELLA LUNA, a four-year-old filly won the Beaumont Stakes (G2) over the polytrack at Keeneland last year as well as the $125,000 Sunshine Millions Filly and Mare Sprint down the hill this year at Santa Anita.
- SUSHI EMPIRE, a three-year-old filly by Empire Maker who her maiden in the Blue Norther Stakes at Santa Anita on New Years Day. She is being pointed to the San Clemente Stakes (G2) at Del Mar on July 19, which is the day before the auction.
- HANDSOME MIKE, who won the Pennsylvania Derby (G2) at 3, the Commonwealth Stakes (G3) at four over Keeneland’s polytrack, and finished a good second in the American Flag Stakes at Los Alamitos on July 4th. He is nearly a millionaire with career earnings of $971,000.
- SHH SHE’S OURS, a two-year-old filly by Tiz Wonderful) who won her debut in breathtaking fashion on July 4th at Los Alamitos in 57 3/5 and is entered in the $100,000 Cinderella Stakes on Sunday at Los Alamitos.
- PERADVENTURE, a two-year-old who brilliantly won his debut at Santa Anita on June 27th and is entered in the $100,000 W.L. Proctor Memorial Stakes on Sunday at Los Alamitos.
Horses eligible for Del Mar’s Ship and Win program, which offers horses a bonus of 33% additional purse money plus $1,000 for qualified horses, will be clearly identified as well as announced when they enter the sales ring on July 20.
