NEW ORLEANS, La. (Mar. 15, 2026) – Sunland Derby winner and California-bred Pavlovian looks to secure a spot in the Kentucky Derby starting gate in Saturday’s $1 million Grade II Twinspires.com Louisiana Derby for 3-year-olds at Fair Grounds.
Pavlovian is by Pavel, out of the Bellamy Road mare Mandy’s Grace, was bred by owner Reddam Racing and is trained by Doug O’Neill. J. Paul Reddam and O’Neill have already won Kentucky Derbies with I’ll Have Another and Nyquist.
Pavlovian has two wins in nine starts, earnings of $413,450 and is coming off a nose win over fellow Cal-bred Express Kid in the Feb. 15 Sunland Derby, earning 20 Kentucky Derby points.
