LAFAYETTE, La. (July 6, 2026) – Even-money favorite Perry County, a Kentucky-bred son of California stallion Collected, won Saturday’s $60,000 John Henry Stakes at Evangeline Downs.
Perry County, out of the Street Boss mare Tyrannical, ran the 1 1/16 miles off the turf in 1:44.28 on a sloppy track and won by two lengths.
The half-sibling to stakes-placed Rolling Fork has five wins in 20 starts and earnings of $263,405.
