GRAND PRAIRIE, Tex. (July 10, 2022) – Stakes winner Popular Kid is the lone California-bred entered in Saturday’s $300,000 Texas Turf Classic Stakes at Lone Star Park.
Popular Kid is by Popular, out of the Lemon Drop Kid mare Lemon Supreme, was bred by Rod and Lorraine Rodriguez, is owned by George Sharp and trained by Shawn Davis.
He has 15 wins in 67 starts, earnings of $701,345 and is coming off a second in a June 16 optional claimer.
