PHOENIX, Ariz. (Feb. 18, 2022) – California-bred Pumpkin Bread, coming off a debut win in a maiden claimer, won Friday’s $60,000 Princess of Palms Stakes for fillies and mares at Turf Paradise.
Pumpkin Bread is by English Channel, out of the Kitten’s Joy mare Kittens Trip, was bred by J. Kirk & Judy Robison, is owned by Aimee Rosa and trained by Bart Hone.
Claimed by her current owner for $12,500 from her debut win, Pumpkin Bread has won both starts with career earnings of $43,772. She ran the 7 ½ furlongs on turf in 1:32.44 and won by three lengths at odds of 3-1 in a field of five.
