ARCADIA, Calif. (Dec. 30, 2024) – Stakes winner Pushiness and graded-stakes placed Irish Wahine are the California-breds entered in Saturday’s $100,000 Las Flores Stakes for fillies and mares at Santa Anita.
Pushiness is by Kantharos, out of the Empire Maker mare Imperial Pippin, was bred by Richard Barton Enterprises, is owned by Repole Stables and trained by Michael McCarthy. She has four wins in eight starts, earnings of $272,046 and is coming off a third in the Nov. 10 Betty Grable.
Irish Wahine is by Grazen, out of the Broken Vow mare Irish Winnie, was bred by Moger Inc. and Neary Racing, is owned by GMT Racing Stables and trained by Librado Barocio. She has 11 wins in 30 starts, earnings of $316,956 and is coming off a fourth in the Nov. 30 Livermore Valley Stakes.
