DEL MAR, Calif. (July 31, 2022) – Multiple graded winner Slow Down Andy and multiple stakes winner Straight Up G are among the seven black-type winners entered in Friday’s $175,000 Real Good Deal Stakes for Golden State Series-eligible 3-year-olds at Del Mar.
Finneus is by Stay Thirsty, out of the Ghostzapper mare My Fiona, was bred by Terry Lovingier, is owned by Lovinger, Fasihuddin or Navarro and is trained by Walther Solis. He has two wins in 10 starts, earnings of $306,216 and is coming off a fifth in the Apr. 9 Echo Eddie. He won the Golden State Juvenile Stakes at Del Mar in November.
Slow Down Andy is by Nyquist, out of the Square Eddie mare Edwina E, was bred by owner Reddam Racing and is trained by Doug O’Neill. He has three wins in six starts, earnings of $569,850 and is coming off a second in the July 9 Los Alamitos Derby.
