SACRAMENTO, Calif. (July 15, 2015) – Stakes winner Richard’s Boy, a fellow California-breds Holdthismiss, My Friend Emma and El Huerfano are entered in Saturday’s $50,000 Golden Bear Stakes for 3-year-olds at Sacramento.
Holdthismiss is by Hold Me Back, out of the Northern Afleet mare Glamorous Miss, was bred by owner Malibu Valley Farms and is trained by William Morey. He has one win in two starts, earnings of $24,336 and is coming off a June 6 maiden win.
Richard’s Boy is by Idiot Proof, out of the Cee’s Tizzy mare Marissa’s Joy, was bred by Harold and Pamela Tillema, is owned by Rockingham Ranch and is trained by Peter Miller. He has four wins in six starts, earnings of $188,090 and is coming off an 11th in the May 23 Snow Chief.
My Friend Emma is by Tannersmyman, out of the Artax mare Ma Ka Bet, was bred by Jim Eaton, is owned by Rosa Camacho and Gerardo Robles and is trained by Guillermo Preciado. He has one win in two starts, earnings of $26,260 and is coming off a June 27 maiden win.
El Huerfano is by Tannersmyman, out of the Capsized mare Adriftinthebay, was bred by owner M.A. Douzos and is trained by Gil Matos. He has two wins in four starts, earnings of $25,686 and is coming off a fourth in a June 14 allowance.
