Sing and Tell Returns in Golden Poppy

ALBANY, Calif. (May 7, 2015) – Stakes winner Sing and Tell returns from an eight-month layoff in Saturday’s $50,000 Golden Poppy Stakes for fillies and mares at Golden Gate.

Handfull is by Comic Strip, out of the Roman Dancer mare Honoree, was bred by Dr. & Mrs. William Gray, is owned by Team Green, Hollendorfer and Nakkashian and is trained by Jerry Hollendorfer. She has 12 wins in 27 starts, earnings of $231,203 and is coming off a four consecutive wins.

Sing and Tell is by Alymagic, out of the Avenue of Flags mare Refreshing Song, was bred by Daehling Ranch, is owned by Joe Daehling and Holly Evans and is trained by Evans. She has seven wins in 25 starts, earnings of $238,962 and is making her first start since a fifth in a Sept. 11 allowance.

Central Heat is by Unusual Heat, out of the Smart Strike mare Miss Boomtown, was bred by Abrams, Huston Racing, Matties Racing and Auerbach, is owned by Dave Del Debbio, William Delia and Dana Rocheford and is trained by Delia. She has 11 wins in 30 starts, earnings of $215,191 and is coming off three consecutive wins.

Loveintheshadows is by Freespool, out of the Touch Gold mare Risk the Gold, was bred by Desperado Stables, is owned by Chris Carpenter, Laverne Dunn and Justin Nunes and is trained by Bill McLean. She has 12 wins in 50 starts, earnings of $221,104 and is coming off a third in an Apr. 17 allowance.
