ARCADIA, Calif. (Apr. 30, 2015) – Multiple stakes winner Singing Kitty and fellow California-bred Spanish Queen are entered in Sunday’s $200,000 Grade II Honeymoon Stakes for 3-year-old fillies at Santa Anita.
Spanish Queen is by Tribal Rule, out of the Unusual Heat mare Spanish Bunny, was bred by owners Jack Nakkashian, Harry Bedarian and Harout Kamberian, is trained by Richard Baltas. She has one win in two starts, earnings of $63,600 and is coming off a second in the Apr. 4 Providencia Stakes.
Singing Kitty is by Ministers Wild Cat, out of the Unbridled’s Song mare Natural Singer R N, was bred by Tommy Town Thoroughbreds, is owned by Chris Aulds and Peter Jeong and is trained by Matthew Chew. She has four wins in nine starts, earnings of $243,378 and is coming off a fifth in the Apr. 4 Santa Anita Oaks.
