ARCADIA, Calif. (Feb. 15, 2018) – Skye Diamonds makes her first start since Breeders’ Cup day and is joined by fellow California-bred Coniah in Sunday’s $100,000 Grade III Las Flores Stakes for fillies and mares at Santa Anita.
Skye Diamonds is by First Dude, out of the Johannesburg mare Exonerated, was bred by Dizne Double Diamond, is owned by Allen Racing, Bloom Racing or Acker, et al and is trained by Bill Spawr. She has nine wins in 17 starts, earnings of $539,150 and is coming off a fourth in the Nov. 4 Breeders’ Cup Filly & Mare Sprint.
Coniah is by Harlington, out of the Lord At War mare Pretti Woman, was bred by owners James or Tammy McKenney and is trained by William Morey. She has four wins in 20 starts, earnings of $295,365 and is coming off a win in the Jan. 20 Las Cienegas.
