ARCADIA, Calif. (May 21, 2014) — Soi Phet is the lone California-bred entered in Saturday’s $200,000 Grade II Charles Whittingham Handicap at Santa Anita.
Soi Phet is by Tizbud, out of the Siberian Summer mare Summer Jersey, was bred by ARCHA Racing, is owned by Gerald Benowitz and Sandra Powell, Paul and Mathilde Viskovich and is trained by Leonard Powell.
He has five wins in 24 starts, earnings of $272,026 and is coming off a fifth in the Apr. 26 Tiznow Stakes.
