SACRAMENTO, Calif. (Feb. 21, 2018) – Alex Solis and Madeline Auerbach have been reappointed to the California Horse Racing Board by Governor Edmund G. Brown, Jr.
Solis, 53, of Monrovia, has since 2015. Solis was a jockey from 1982 to 2017. He is a member of the Jockey’s Guild and was inducted into the National Racing Hall of Fame in 2014. This position requires Senate confirmation and the compensation is $100 per diem. Solis is a Democrat.
Auerbach, 73, of Bell Canyon, has served since 2014. Auerbach has been director and owner at M. Auerbach LLC since 2000. She was chief financial officer and owner at JSA Corp DBA Hippopotamus from 1977 to 2004. Auerbach is a member of the Jockey Club. This position requires Senate confirmation and the compensation is $100 per diem. Auerbach is a Democrat.
