PLEASANTON, Calif. (June 28, 2017) – California-bred Song From Above, the lone winner in the field, takes on eight maidens, five making their racing debuts, in Saturday’s $50,000 Juan Gonzalez Memorial Stakes for 2-year-old fillies at the Oak Tree at Pleasanton meet.

Fernet Me Not is by Street Hero, out of the Capote mare Capotes Cielo, was bred by Hyung Kwon Cho, is owned by Elevated Bloodstock, Cho or Miller. She is making her debut.

Oklahoma Red is by Point Encounter, out of the Cee’s Tizzy mare Tiz My Honey, was bred by Running Horse Equine Training Center, is owned by Jodi Cuellar and trained by Wendell McDaniel. She is a maiden making her fourth start with earnings of $4,561.

Sharona Sunset is by Sierra Sunset, out of the Lord Carson mare Sharoana, was bred by owners George and Mar Clare Schmitt and trained by Marcia Stortz. She is making her debut.

Lucky Antares is by Lucky Pulpit, out of the Decarcy mare Antares World, was bred by owners Mr. and Mrs. Larry Williams and is trained by Steve Specht. She is a maiden making her second start with earnings of $2,028.
