DEL MAR, Calif. (Aug. 5, 2021) – Three sons of Stay Thirsty remain among entries in Sunday’s $100,000 Graduation Stakes for Golden State Series eligible 2-year-olds at Del Mar, which also includes two graduates of the Northern California Yearling Sale.
Mr. T’s Thirsty is by Stay Thirsty, out of the Rock Hard Ten mare Pebble Beach Baby, was bred by Terry Lovinger, is owned by Lovingier and Templeton Horses and is trained by Walther Solis. The $40,000 purchase at the Northern California Yearling Sale has one win in three starts, earnings of $38,820 and is coming off a fourth in the July 10 Everett Nevin.
Trip to Spain is by Stay Thirsty, out of the Comic Strip mare Spanish Doll, was bred by Miles McMahon, is owned by McMahon or Rudy and trained by Jamey Thomas. He won his lone start July 25 with earnings of $23,400.
Rock N Rye is by Stay Thirsty, out of the Not For Love mare Angela’s Love, was bred by Terry Lovingier, is owned by Lovingier, London or Zondlo and is trained by Walther Solis. He has one win in two starts, earnings of $43,920 and is coming off a May 30 maiden win.
Northern California Yearling Sale graduate Northvale Road is by Grazen, out of the Tizdejavu mare Sunshine Woman, was bred by Gino Roncelli, is owned by Moger Inc., Burke or Estrada, et al and is trained by Ed Moger Jr. The $10,000 purchase at the Northern California Yearling Sale has one win in three starts, earnings of $25,740 and is coming off a July 3 maiden win.
Fowler Blue is by Curlin to Mischief, out of the Unusual Heat mare Roses for Joni, was bred by owners Branch or Hill and is trained by Luis Mendez. He is a maiden making his fourth start with earnings of $11,480.
