SAN MIGUEL, Calif. (Nov. 4, 2014) — Rancho San Miguel would like to welcome Street Hero, a 2-year-old Grade I stakes winner by Street Cry (IRE) out of the Summer Squall mare Squall Linda, for the 2015 breeding season.
Street Hero was on the board in five out of six starts as a 2-year-old, winning the Norfolk Stakes (G1), third in the Bessemer Trust Breeders’ Cup Juvenile (G1), and third in the Del Mar Futurity (G1). Street Hero sired six first-crop stakes horses, three stakes winners, including G1 winner Azarenka, Gabriel Charles-G2, and Street Girl. Street Girl is also multiple graded stakes placed with a second in the Humana Distaff S. – G1 in May of 2014 and a third in the Cotillion S. – G1. Saturday she finished second in the Grade II Chilukki Stakes at Churchill Downs with (lifetime earnings of over $445,000). Street Hero also sired California-bred multiple winner Stylish In Black (2014 earnings of $91,200).
