From Rancho San Miguel
SAN MIGUEL, Calif. (Oct. 22, 2019) —Rancho San Miguel is proud to announce that Sir Prancealot’s 2020 northern hemisphere stud fee will be set at $15,000 LFSN to approved mares.
Sir Prancealot’s imported runners have been a dominant force of late in the American graded stakes turf scene. Highlighting the stakes exploits is newly minted millionaire Beau Recall (IRE), a multiple G2 winner with strong finishes for second in three G1’s. Beau Recall is targeting the G1 Matriarch Stakes at Del Mar in November. 3-year-old filly Lady Prancelaot recently took down the G3 Pin Oak Valley View Stakes at Keeneland earning her second G3 win. Lady Prancealot has also placed third in the G1 Del Mar Oaks and will target the G1 American Oaks at Santa Anita in December.
There are some very live 2-year-olds pointing to graded stakes as well, including Applecross (IRE) who ran third in the Del Mar Juvenile Fillies Stakes, and newly imported multiple stakes placed filly Triana (IRE) who will join the Simon Callaghan barn at Santa Anita next week.
This sets Sir Prancealot’s current progeny record in the United States at three graded stakes winners, all of which were Grade 1 placed, among his four stakes winners and six total stakes horses from only 14 imported starters to date.
“This is a unique situation in that Sir Prancealot is already proven to be an elite stallion in North America before even standing here. It’s unprecedented to have a horse with the hype of a young incoming freshman stallion along with proven graded stakes results from small crops,” said Adrian Gonzalez, Sir Prancealot syndicate manager.
