DEL MAR, Calif. (Oct. 29, 2024) – California-sired Sabertooth, who could have drawn into Friday’s $1 million Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf from the also-eligible list, instead will run in Friday’s $200,000 Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance Stakes for 2-year-olds at Del Mar, trainer Tim Yakteen told Daily Racing Form.
Sabertooth, a registered California-sired son of Grazen, is out of the Johannesburg mare Hard to Resist, was bred by 2500 Determined Stud and is owned by George Sharp.
The Maryland-foaled colt is a maiden with earnings of $70,000, having finished second in each of four starts, including the Grade III Zuma Beach and Del Mar Juvenile Turf stakes.
