PHOENIX, Ariz. (Oct. 31, 2021) – Multiple graded stakes winner The Chosen Vron and Northern California Yearling Sale graduate Minister of Soul are entered in Friday’s $60,000 Hank Mills Sr. Stakes at Turf Paradise.
The Chosen Vron is by Vronsky, out of the Tiz Wonderful mare Tiz Molly, was bred by Tiz Molly Partners, is owned by J. Eric Kruljac, Robert Fetkin, John Sondereker and Richard Thornburgh and is trained by Kruljac. He has four wins in Six starts, earnings of $303,850 and is coming off a second in the July 30 Real Good Deal.
Minister of Soul is by Ministers Wild Cat, out of the Bernstein mare Sensitive Soul, was bred by Dahlberg Farms and is owned by trainer Esteban Martinez. The $16,000 purchase at the Northern California Yearling Sale has 12 wins in 33 starts, earnings of $322,038 and has a three-race win streak. He won this race in 2019.
El Chavo Del Ocho is by Tannersmyman, out of the Artax mare My Sis Liz, was bred by Joseph Duffel & Woodbridge Farm, is owned by Jeremy Ramsland and trained by Justin Evans. The $4,000 purchase at the Northern California Yearling Sale has seven wins in 37 starts, earnings of $242,244 and is coming off a fifth in an Oct. 17 optional claimer. He was second in this race when it was last run on Jan. 4 of this year.
Swift as I Am is by Danza, out of the Artie Schiller mare As I Am, was bred by Richard Barton Enterprises, is owned by Joel Hunsburger and trained by Jonathan Wong. He has four wins in 11 starts, earnings of $101,860 and has a three-race win streak.
