From Cicero Farms
HEMET, Calif. (Jan. 23, 2017) — Cicero Farms’ Grade II-placed mare Tiz A Kiss (Cee’s Tizzy – Candy Factory by Seattle Bound) has been officially retired and will head to California Hall of Fame breeder Pat Thompson’s Ridgeley Farm to begin her broodmare career. The 7-year old is scheduled to visit He Be Fire N Ice for her first mating.
“Originally scheduled for retirement at the end of February this year, the racing connections of Tiz A Kiss decided to retire the gray mare six weeks early,” said Barbara Ranck Perry of Cicero Farms. “In the Megahertz she showed she was ready for her next career. She was a real gem to race and we are excited for the next chapter. We are very excited to breed her to He Be Fire N Ice.
“We believe in Cal-bred racing and saw no reason to send her to Kentucky when we can breed to such a brilliant son of Unusual Heat, the all-time leading sire in California. We will breed our best to our best and hope for the best.”
Tiz A Kiss was bred by Dahlberg Farms, is owned by Cicero Farms and was trained by Richard Baltas. She has four wins in 24 starts, earnings of $361,441 and is Grade II placed.
