PLEASANTON, Calif. (June 30, 2019) – Northern California Yearling Sale graduate Touched by Autism, now graded-stakes placed, is entered in Thursday’s $50,000 Oak Tree Sprint Stakes at Pleasanton.
Touched by Autism is by Sierra Sunset, out of the Beau Genius mare Beau’s Gem, was bred by George & Northern California Yearling Sale graduate Mary Clare Schmitt, is owned by Johnny Toboada and trained by Marcia Stortz. The $2,700 purchase at the Northern California Yearling Sale has eight wins in 32 starts, earnings of $287,246 and is coming off a third in the May 27 All American.
Summersimage is by Slew’s Tiznow, out of the Siberian Summer mare Summer Swimmer, was bred by owner William Hedrick and is trained by Ricardo Perez. He has six wins in 18 starts, earnings of $190,743 and is coming off a second in the June 8 Albany Stakes.
Sir Vronski is by Vronsky, out of the In Excess mare Sister Sally, was bred by Joe Turner, is owned by Allen Aldrich and trained by Quinn Howey. He has 22 wins in 40 starts, earnings of $326,571 and is making his first start since a second in a Feb. 23 optional claimer.
Tribal Storm is by Papa Clem, out of the Tribal Rule mare Tribal Feathers, was bred by Curt & Lila Lanning, is owned by Scott Herbertson and trained by Ari Herbertson. He has six wins in 20 starts, earnings of $321,294 and is coming off a fourth in the June 8 Albany. He was second in this race last year.
