CYPRESS, Calif. (Sept. 4, 2014) – Stakes winner Uzziel and fellow California-breds Sprague River and Mon Petite are entered in $75,000 Beverly J. Lewis Stakes for 3-year-old fillies at Los Alamitos.
Uzziel is by Harlington, out of the Lord at War mare Pretti Woman, was bred by owners James and Tammy McKenney and is trained by Mike Puype. She has three wins in seven starts, earnings of $107,638 and is coming off a third in the Aug. 8 Daisycutter.
Sprague River is by Tribal Rule, out of the Unbridled’s Song mare Tina’s Love, was bred by Carl Asadurian, is owned by Rockingham Ranch and trained by Peter Miller. She has two wins in five starts, earnings of $69,416 and is making her first start since an eighth in the Apr. 5 Evening Jewel.
Mon Petite is by Papa Clem, out of the Jeune Homme mare Avranches, was bred by Barry Abrams, Madeline Auerbach and Marie Goda, is owned by Robert and Luanne Bean and trained by Robert Bean. She has two wins in 10 starts, earnings of $48,440 and is coming off a 10th in the Aug. 15 Sandy Blue.
