Cal-bred Quartet in Contentious Fleet Treat

DEL MAR, Calif. (July 19, 2020) – California-breds Been Studying Her, Smiling Shirlee, Loud Loud Music and Big Sweep run in of Friday’s $125,000 Fleet Treat Stakes for Golden State Series-eligible 3-year-old fillies at Del Mar after the scratch of Warren’s Showtime, who will run in Saturday’s San Clemente Stakes.

Multiple stakes winner Been Studying Her is by Fast Anna, out of the Kitten’s Joy mare Maddie’s Odyssey, was bred by owner KMN Racing and is trained by Jerry Hollendorfer. She has three wins in eight starts, earnings of $250,080 and is coming off a second in the June 13 Angel’s Flight.

Stakes winner Smiling Shirlee is by Smiling Tiger, out of the Grand Slam mare Whobetterthanus, was bred by Premier Thoroughbreds, is owned by Brown Jr., Klein or Lebherz and is trained by Jeff Bonde. She has three wins in nine starts, earnings of $269,220 and is coming off a second in the June 21 Melair.

Loud Loud Music is by Tizbud, out of the Bernstein mare Your Cheatin Heart, was bred by owner Nick Alexander and is trained by Steve Miyadi. She has two wins in three starts, earnings of $57,300 and is coming off a June 19 optional claiming win.

Stakes winner Big Sweep is by Mr. Big, out of the City Zip mare Misszippityslewda, was bred by George Krikorian, is owned by Red Baron’s Bar or Rancho Temescal and is trained by Mark Glatt. She has two wins in three starts, earnings of $141,000 and is coming off a third in the June 21 Melair.
