ALBANY, Calif. (Nov. 14, 2017) – California-sired graded stakes winner Zakaroff and California-bred P Club are entered in Saturday’s $50,000 Oakland Stakes at Golden Gate.
P Club is by Bushwacker, out of the Not For Love mare Sheila’s Prospect, was bred by Terry Lovingier, is owned by Jerome & Kristina Russell and is trained by Ryan Kenney. He has three wins in 21 starts, earnings of $116,959 and is coming off a fourth in an Oct. 18 optional claimer.
Zakaroff is by Slew’s Tiznow, out of the Mr. Greeley mare Grand Advice, was bred by Eagle Ridge Racing, is owned by Antone Metaxas and is trained by Steve Specht. He has two wins in eight starts, earnings of $149,045 and is coming off a fifth in a Sept. 8 optional claimer.
