ARCADIA, Calif. (Mar. 18, 2013) — The Jerry Hollendorfer-trained California-bred Tamarando tops the list of probable for Turfway Park’s Grade III Horseshoe Casino Spiral Stakes for 3-year-olds on Mar. 22.
The Grade III El Camino Real Derby winner will attempt to attain some of the 85 Kentucky Derby points up for grabs.
“He’s been very sound and he’s been doing everything we’ve asked him to do,” said Hollendorfer. “He fits in this race. It looks like a good spot.”
Tamarando breezed seven panels at Golden Gate in 1:28 with Russell Baze up on Sunday.
