DEL MAR, Calif. (Aug. 18, 2021) – Multiple graded stakes winner Acclimate, who won this race in 2019, is the lone California-bred entered in Saturday’s $300,000 Grade II Del Mar Handicap, presented by The Japan Racing Association.
Acclimate is by Acclamation, out of the Boundary mare Knows No Bounds, was bred by Old English Rancho, Sal Berumen and Patsy Berumen, is owned by The Ellwood Johnston Trust, Timmy Time Racing or Tevelde and is trained by Phil D’Amato.
He has seven wins in 25 starts, earnings of $557,872 and is coming off a win in the June 19 San Juan Capistrano.
