CYPRESS, Calif. (Dec. 20, 2020) – Dr. Ed Allred had a noteworthy day-night breeder-owner double at his Los Alamitos on Saturday, as half-siblings of different breeds won on each card.
Gov From Above won the sixth race on the Thoroughbred card and From Above won the sixth race on the Quarter Horse card.
Both are out of the In Excess mare Celestial Being, who resided at Allred’s Rolling A Ranch in Atascadero.
Gov From Above is a 3-year-old gelding by Govenor Charlie trained by Art Sherman and ridden by Flavien Prat who had to survive a jockey’s objection. From Above is a 2-year-old gelding by Kiddy Up trained by Scott Willoughby and ridden by Oscar Andrade Jr.
