ARCADIA, Calif. (Oct. 26, 2014) – California-bred Ambitious Brew had his final workout in preparation for the $1 million Grade I Breeders’ Cup Turf Sprint on Saturday, going five furlongs on the turf in 1:00.20 at Santa Anita.
The work was third-best out of 10 on the day at the distance. Kaigun, also pre-entered for the Turf Sprint, worked the same distance in 1:00.40.
Ambitious Brew is by Tizbud, out of the Forest Wildcat mare Kathwen, was bred by owner Pamela Ziebarth and is trained by Marty Jones.
He has four wins and four seconds in eight starts, earnings of $247,920 and is coming off a second in the Sept. 26 Eddie D.
