ARCADIA, Calif. (Sept. 28, 2018) – Millionaire Ashleyluvssugar and fellow California-bred stakes winner Ann Arbor Eddie are entered in Sunday’s $200,000 Grade II John Henry Turf Championship at Santa Anita.
Ann Arbor Eddie is by Square Eddie, out of the In Excess mare Repo, was bred by owner Reddam Racing and is trained by Doug O’Neill. He has five wins in 18 starts, earnings of $433,106 and is coming off a second in an Aug. 16 optional claimer.
Ashleyluvssugar is by Game Plan, out of the Urgent Request mare Ashley’s Folly, was bred by owners Alesia, Bran Jam Stable or Ciaglia Racing and is trained by Peter Eurton. He has 10 wins in 28 starts, earnings of $1,349,039 and is coming off a sixth in the Aug. 18 Del Mar Handicap. He won this race in 2016.
