ALBANY, Calif. (Dec. 5, 2018) – Stakes winner Bella Luma and fellow California-bred Music Babe are entered in Saturday’s second division of the $50,000 Miss America Stakes for fillies and mares at Golden Gate.
Music Babe is by Thoreau, out of the Include mare Babe Included, was bred by Thor-Bred Stables, is owned by Savvy Racing or Jerry Edwards and is trained by Isidro Tamayo. She has six wins in 16 starts, earnings of $65,050 and is coming off a consecutive claiming wins.
Bella Luma is by Ministers Wild Cat, out of the Bold Badgett mare Bold Roberta, was bred by Thomas Bachman, is owned by Fairview or Linda Brown and is trained by Ed Moger Jr. She has five wins in 18 starts, earnings of $169,775 and is coming off a fifth in the Nov. 24 Berkeley Handicap.
