Bella Luma Sibling Tops NorCal Sale

PLEASANTON, Calif. (Aug. 14, 2018) – A colt by Ministers Wild Cat brought a sale-topping $45,000 at Tuesday’s 2018 Northern California Yearling and Horses of Racing Age Sale at the Alameda County Fairgrounds.

The high-bid yearling is out of the multiple stakes-winning Bold Badgett mare Bold Roberta and is a full brother to stakes winner Bella Luma. The colt was bred by Thomas Bachman, consigned by Harris Farms, Agent, and purchased by Michael V. Dante of Bellflower.

The high-bid filly was by Smiling Tiger, out of the Tannersmyman mare Tanned Reflection, was bred and consigned by Woodbridge Farm and purchased by Perry & Denise Martin of California Chrome fame for $24,000.

Tuesday’s sale was the 15th presented in Northern California by the California Thoroughbred Breeders Association in its current format.
