Bettor Trip Nick Mining for Gold Rush

ALBANY, Calif. (Dec. 4, 2019) – Stakes winner Bettor Trip Nick is one of five California-breds entered in Saturday’s $75,000 Gold Rush Stakes for 2-year-olds at Golden Gate.

Call Me Peppy is by Peppered Cat, out of the Alymagic mare Calimagic, was bred by owner Alex Paszkeicz, and is trained by Andreas Psarras. He has one win in four starts, earnings of $27,080 and is coming off a fifth in the Nov. 9 Golden Nugget Stakes.

Northern California Yearling Sale graduate Jedi Knight is by Northern Indy, out of the Unusual Heat mare Of Royalty, was bred by Seamist Racing, is owned by John Molloy or Andreas Psarras and is trained by Psarras. The $4,500 purchase at the Northern California Yearling Sale has two wins in six starts, earnings of $48,752 and is coming off a Nov. 7 starter’s allowance win.

Bettor Trip Nick is by Boat Trip, out of the In Excess mare Bettor Knot, was bred by Running Horse Equine Training Center, is owned by William Delia, Gary Oetman or Ray Pagano and is trained by Delia. He has three wins in four starts, earnings of $65,180 and is coming off a win in the Nov. 9 Golden Nugget.

Indian Peak is by Comic Strip, out of the Roar mare Ms. Booty, was bred by owners Dr. & Mrs. William Gray and is trained by Quinn Howey. He has one win in three starts, earnings of $31,980 and is coming off a Nov. 23 maiden win.

Sacred Rider is by Lucky Pulpit, out of the Ride the Rails mare Lady Railrider, was bred by owner Mr. & Mrs. Larry Williams and is trained by Steve Specht. He has one win in six starts, earnings of $35,648 and is coming off an Oct. 31 maiden win.
