EDMONTON, Alberta (Aug. 21, 2022) – Unbeaten odds-on favorite Big Hug, an Alberta-bred daughter of California stallion Mr. Big, won Friday’s $50,000 Princess Margaret Stakes for 2-year-old fillies at Century Mile.
Big Hug, out of the Unusual Heat mare Temeeku, has won both starts with earnings of $39,403.
She ran the six furlongs in 1:11.43 and won by 3 ¼ lengths at odds of 9-10. While carrying Big Hug, Temeeku sold at the California Thoroughbred Breeders Association January Sale for $1,000.
