Bulletproof One Takes on the Boys in Baffle

ARCADIA, Calif. (Jan. 3, 2020) – Multiple stakes winner Bulletproof One, one of three California-breds entered, takes on the boys in Friday’s $75,000 Baffle Stakes for 3-year-olds at Santa Anita.

Rookie Mistake is by Square Eddie, out of the General Meeting mare Meetmeinthewoods, was bred by owner Reddam Racing and is trained by Doug O’Neill. He has one win in five starts, earnings of $55,551 and is coming off an eighth in the Jan. 18 California Cup Derby.

Bulletproof One is by idiot Proof, out of the Decarchy mare Onefunsonofagun, was bred by Victory Rose Thoroughbreds & KMN Racing, is owned by Barber, Eclipse Thoroughbred Partners or Wachtel Stable and is trained by Peter Miller. She has three wins in seven starts, earnings of $203,400 and is coming off a second in the Jan. 18 California Cup Oaks.

Big Returns is by Mr. Big, out of the Orientate mare Quick Chick, was bred by George Krikorian, is owned by William Peeples and trained by Doug O’Neill. He has two wins in three starts, earnings of $94,100 and is coming off a ninth in the Jan. 18 California Cup Derby.
