WINNIPEG, Manitoba (Aug. 7, 2023) – Lone California-bred Big Stretch circled the field turning for home and ran off to a 4 1/4-length win in Monday’s $50,000 Escape Clause Stakes for fillies and mares at Assiniboia Downs.
Big Stretch is by Mr. Big, out of the Curlin mare Baby Zito, was bred by George Krikorian, is owned by A2 Thoroughbreds and trained by Michael Nault.
She has four wins in 30 starts, earnings of $187,847 and was coming off a second in the July 18 Canada Stakes.
The 5-2 second choice in a field of five, Big Stretch ran the mile in 1:39.65.
