LEXINGTON, Ky. (Nov. 9, 2022) – A pair of California-breds brought six-figure sales prices apiece at Wednesday’s session of the Keeneland November Sale.
Delia O’Hara, a multiple stakes-placed California-bred mare, sold for $115,000, while a weanling filly by Omaha Beach sold for $110,000.
Delia O’Hara is by Khozan, out of the Discretely Mine mare Starlet O’Hara, was consigned by Eaton Sales, agent, was bred by H & E Ranch and purchased by John Hicks. An earner of $38,434 on the track, Delia O’Hara sold in foal to Bolt d’Oro.
The Omaha Beach filly is out of the Irish-bred Montjeu mare Turns My Head, was bred by Checkmate Thoroughbreds & Gallop Out Racing, was consigned by Checkmate Thoroughbreds, agent, and was purchased by Rowland Hancock. She is a half-sister to the graded stakes placed filly Catch the Eye.
