Cal-bred Duo Entered in Phoenix Gold Cup

PHOENIX, Ariz. (Feb. 4, 2019) – Northern California Yearling Sale graduate Minister of Soul and fellow California-bred Make It a Triple are entered in Saturday’s $75,000 Phoenix Gold Cup at Turf Paradise.

Make It a Triple is by Misremembered, out of the Level Sands mare Thunder Sands, was bred by Richard Barton Enterprises, is owned by RadarRob Stables and is trained by Keith Craigmyle. He has four wins in 20 starts, earnings of $133,259 and is making his first start since a fifth in an Aug. 26 optional claimer.

Minister of Soul is by Ministers Wild Cat, out of the Bernstein mare Sensitive Soul, was bred by Dahlberg Farms, is owned by trainer Esteban Martinez. The $16,000 purchase at the Northern California Yearling Sale has five wins in 10 starts, earnings of $81,703 and is coming off a win in the Jan. 19 Hank Mills Sr. Stakes.
