SUNLAND PARK, N.M. (Mar. 30, 2016) – California-breds Whine for Wine and Real Heat are entered in Monday’s $75,000 Winsham Lad Stakes at Sunland Park.
Whine for Wine is by Ministers Wild Cat, out of the Jump Start mare Mrs. Began, was bred by owner Tommy Town Thoroughbreds and is trained by Johnnie Nall. He has three wins in 18 starts, earnings of $175,500 and is coming off a fifth in the Mar. 20 Bill Thomas Memorial.
Real Heat is by Unusual Heat, out of the Ole mare Chi Chi Nette, was bred by Madeline Auerbach and Barry Abrams, is owned by Class Racing Stable and trained by Bret Hone. He has five wins in 29 starts, earnings of $172,246 and is coming off a win in a Mar. 5 starter’s allowance.
