Cal-bred Pair Enters California Oaks

ALBANY, Calif. (Apr. 21, 2021) – California-breds Joymaker and Misty Cat are entered in Saturday’s $75,000 California Oaks for 3-year-old fillies at Golden Gate.

Joymaker is by Slew’s Tiznow, out of the Half Term mare Joyously, was bred by owners Dr. & Mrs. William Gray and is trained by Quinn Howey. She has three wins in nine starts, earnings of $50,500 and is coming off a win in a Mar. 27 starter’s allowance.

Misty Cat is by Bluegrass Cat, out of the Bob and John mare Play Misty for Me, was bred by BKB Stables and is owned by trainer Daniel Franko. She has one win in nine starts, earnings of $45,234 and is coming off a fourth in an Apr. 4 optional claimer.
