CYPRESS, Calif. (June 30, 2023) – California-breds Clouseau and McGregor Lake have been nominated to the July 8 $125,000 Los Alamitos Derby for 3-year-olds, to be run at 1 1/8 miles.
Clouseau is by Distorted Humor, out of the Bernardini mare English Garden, was bred by PT Syndicate #1, is owned by ISK Racing Stable Inc., Doug Hames, Rebekah Lawless, Tom Lawless, Frank Lewkowitz, and Karen Lewkowitz and trained by Ian Kruljac. He has three wins in seven starts, earnings of $173,360 and is coming off a second in the May 28 Snow Chief Stakes, presented by City National Bank.
McGregor Lake is by Saburo, out of the Idiot Proof mare Spectacular Proof, was bred by owner Ruis Racing and is trained by Antonio Garcia. He won his lone start June 10 at odds of 63-1 with earnings of $36,600.
