Cal-bred Pair in Bold Ego

SUNLAND PARK, N.M. (Dec. 18, 2013) — California-breds Warren’s Venedalucy and Wine Thief are entered in Saturday’s $50,000 Bold Ego Handicap for fillies and mares at Sunland Park.

Warren’s Venedalucy is by Doc Gus, out of the Carson City mare State the Obvious, was bred by Benjamin Warren, is owned by Ace Racing Stable and trained by Justin Evans. She has four wins in 21 starts, earnings of $105,490 and is coming off a win in a Nov. 6 optional claimer.

Wine Thief is by Benchmark, out of the French Parliament mare Malbay Slew, was bred by Robert and Eileen Osaki and West 12 Ranch, is owned by SEJ Stables and is trained by Justin Evans. She has seven wins in 23 starts, earnings of $150,035 and is coming off a win in the Zia Park Distaff, her third straight win.
