Cal-bred Pair in Budweiser Stakes

AUBURN, Wash. (June 27, 2019) – Stakes winner El Huerfano and fellow California-bred Many Roses are entered in Sunday’s $50,000 Budweiser Stakes at Emerald Downs.

El Huerfano is by Tannersmyman, out of the Capsized mare Adriftinthebay, was bred by M.A. Douzos, is owned by Peerenboom-Bowyer Racing Stables and is trained by Chris Stenslie. He has nine wins in 43 starts, earnings of $575,686 and is coming off consecutive optional claiming wins.

Many Roses is by is by Many Rivers, out of the Bertrando mare Heirloom Rose, was bred by Ellen Jackson, Jerry Martin & Margaret Martin, is owned by Chad Christensen and trained by Frank Lucarelli. He has four wins in 21 starts, earnings of $163,759 and is coming off a fourth in a June 2 optional claimer.
